Friends, family, and fun bond Fine Lines Fitness to the community
By Allison Patterson

Members liken the new Fine Lines Fitness Center in Carrollton to Cheers, one of America's most popular and enduring television sitcoms.

"Fine Lines is to physical fitness what Cheers was to its regular customers-a place where you find friends and 'everybody knows your name'," member Andy Gruendel says with a chuckle. Owner and Certified Personal Trainer, Tammy Harper, is delighted at the comparison.

"Personal attention and helping others reach their goals to get fit, look good and feel great is why we are here, but we are also excited about all of the new programs that we are offering that make getting fit fun and something to look forward to!" Tammy exclaims.

Although the Center has only been open since last fall, Fine Lines already has an impressive array of classes and activities that complement the 6,000 square foot two-story facility. Members indulge in their own unique fitness training using personal trainers; circuit training; tread mills; recumbent and Schwinn Airdyne bikes; elipticals and steppers; Selectorized and plate-loaded fitness equipment; a large free weight area; a cardiovascular room; and a stretching area-all aimed at trimming, toning, taking pounds off and restoring energy. "One of the most common reasons people decide to do something about their health is because they lack energy. You need exercise because all aspects of your life depend on it. The person you are, your productivity, your pursuit of happiness are all conditioned and determined by your level of fitness," Tammy says. "Starting an exercise program is the most important thing you can do for yourself.

My approach is to thoroughly educate and motivate my clients so they will continue to exercise for the rest of their lives and, ultimately, take their fitness outdoors by getting involved in a sport."
